Hello. I just want to say that I am deeply affected by this tragic event. I was there when it happened. I am a student in the engineering department there, and I love it. That day when I woke up, I had a strong feeling that is was going to be a weird day. I assumed that it would be a "normal" odd day though. Odd to me was that it was April and it was snowing outside! After my first class, a lab so I didn't have access to internet/email, I headed over to my next class. I had no idea we were on lock down. On my way over, I ran into several police with huge guns. It looked like war. In the moment, I thought was going to die. I now know, and thank God, I didn't. During the event I was so shook up that a secretary I had never met pulled me inside her office to confort me. At one point, they thought the shooter was in our building, in which I hid under her cubical with my computer trying to contact my mom because I didn't have my cell on me. Long story short, I cried that day. I cried not only for those lives that were lost, but in fear that my life would end as well. My heart goes out to all of those families and friends who lost people they cherish.
